The measurement process of the microwave material flow detector FS510M is based on the physics of the Doppler effect, so that the sensor emits microwaves and forms a microwave field. If the solid material moves through the microwave field, the microwave is reflected and received again by the sensor and converted into an electrical signal output.
FS510M can be installed in pipes, drop flaps, belts, bucket elevators, chutes, pneumatic conveyors, vibrating chutes or similar conveying devices for flow/no flow detection.
The device can detect flow problems in powder, chip, pellet, granular transportation or feeding process in advance. This helps to avoid all kinds of serious problems due to pipe clogging, material loss or other technical problems of the system. Real media visualization, process automation.
Measurement principle: FS 510M microwave material flow detector is a solid material flow detector designed by Doppler principle. The Doppler principle refers to the wavelength of radiation emitted by an object. Because the wave is compressed in front of the source, the wavelength becomes shorter and the frequency becomes higher; when moving behind the source, the opposite effect occurs. Wavelength becomes longer and frequency becomes lower. The higher the velocity of the source, the greater the effect.
According to the degree of microwave displacement, the velocity of the wave source moving in the direction of observation can be calculated. Simply put, if the position of the object hit by the microwave is fixed, then the direction of the reflected wave moves, and the reflected wave will be compressed, that is, the frequency of the reflected wave will increase; conversely, the frequency of the reflected wave will decrease.
